Your Digital Tailor: How a Virtual Dressing Room Works in 3 Steps
A plain-English explainer of UTRY’s virtual dressing room: measurements → avatar → try-on. Less guessing, fewer returns.

TL;DR
UTRY works like a digital tailor. You share a few measurements (no photos needed), we create a simple 3D “you” (an avatar), and you see the garment on your avatar to judge fit and length before you buy. That means less guessing, and fewer “just-in-case” multi-size orders.
Meet your digital tailor
Picking a size online is hard. A medium in one brand feels like a small or a large in another. Photos help, but models aren’t you, and a size chart rarely answers, “How will this sit on my body?” UTRY’s virtual dressing room closes that gap with three straightforward steps.

Step 1: Share a few measurements (no photos needed)
To start, you enter a handful of familiar measurements, typically height, chest/bust, waist, and hips. That’s it. No face scan, no photos, nothing complicated. Think of it as telling a store tailor your basics.
Why this matters: those few numbers give us enough to build a useful shape and proportions. We don’t need cinematic detail to answer the most important question: will this style likely work on me?
Step 2: UTRY builds a simple 3D “you” (an avatar)
From your measurements, UTRY creates a personal 3D avatar, your private stand-in for try-ons. It’s designed for clarity and speed, not movie-level graphics. The aim is to make fit obvious at a glance: length, silhouette, coverage.
Good to know: this avatar is yours. You can reuse it wherever UTRY is enabled, so you don’t start from scratch every time you shop.
Step 3: See the garment on your avatar
On a product page, you tap Try it on. The garment’s digital version appears on your avatar. You rotate, zoom, and check:
- Length (does it land where you want?)
- Silhouette (close, relaxed, oversized?)
- Coverage (neckline, sleeves, rise)
This is virtual try-on, a fast and realistic preview that helps you make a better decision before making a purchase.
What changes for shoppers
- Less guessing. You see how a piece sits on you before buying.
- Fewer multi-size orders. When you’re confident, you don’t hedge.
- One avatar, many shops. Create it once; reuse where UTRY is available.
What changes for brands
- Fewer size-driven returns. Shoppers self-select better when they see fit.
- Smarter PDPs. Time spent with try-on is intent, not noise.
- Clearer feedback. Teams see which styles cause fit doubts and why.
UTRY brings the fitting room to the product page. Three steps: measurements, avatar, try-on, and a simpler path from “I like it” to “I’ll keep it.”
